About the adventure

The legendary Flying Koi Carnival has recently set up shop within the Middle Ring of Ba Sing Se, delighting visitors with daring feats of bending and artistry. While attending the festival, Rose, the daughter of a prominent diplomat, went missing. The young woman disappeared at the carnival last night and hasn’t been heard from since! Rose’s mother Lei is distraught, wondering who could’ve taken her daughter and why. Was her disappearance connected to the carnival? Can our heroes find Rose before it is too late? All may not be what it seems under the majestic canvas tents of the Flying Koi… This game will be an introduction to the Avatar Legends Role playing game. It will consist of a free 1-2 hr session 0 where we talk about characters and set up play followed by 1-2 sessions at 3-4 hr each. The game will be beginner focused and we will learn the basics of the system and how the story flows as we play together.

About me

Welcome travelers, My name is Daisy and if you are looking for a fun tabletop experience I am here to help! I have been playing tabletop role playing games for about 8 years and GMing for most of it! Starting with roots in dungeons and dragons I have since branched off into a love for story focused games and systems. Think of systems like Monster of the week and Masks that use the Powered by the Apocalypse engine, or games like Beam Saber and Songs for the Dusk both of which are forged in the dark systems. I also have a deep love for indie games that allow us to think outside of the bounds of usual play. I often enjoy utilizing collaborative systems such as "I'm sorry, did you say street magic?" and "Follow" as breaks from the usual gameplay to give us another view of the story and allow players to add to the world in different ways. I’m always looking for fun new games to bring and happy to test out any you may want to bring!

Excellent GM. I had a wonderful time playing my second ever game of Wanderhome with them. Provides a safe space and makes sure everyone gets to contribute. Highly recommend.

This was our very first game of Wanderhome and we played it along with Cleo and had Daisy as our guide. Daisy has, quite frankly, been indispensable to the experience. Without their creativity, quick mind and ability to plan and sculpt the game play with us we wouldn’t have been able to engage with the game in the ways we did. The outcome was an organic story shaped by two people in the US and two in the UK which created some great characters, a whole new town dedicated to celebrating books and knowledge, a tea festival, a mystical tree, a tower to be repaired and an awful lot of sourdough.

There was a lot of care put into the game and it felt like a wonderfully collaborative process. We had a great time and told a cool story.

Daisy Mae did an excellent job guiding a game where at least half of the players didn't know what to expect from the system, having never played before. I loved that they were able to coax a tale out of prompts readily available to all of us and it still left me stunned thinking about the meaning of the scene. Players looking for an introduction to a system probably couldn't go wrong with taking the plunge with Daisy Mae.

This was my first time playing Wanderhome (or any non-D&D TTRPG, actually), and Daisy was an integral part of making it such a great experience. They crafted a very inclusive and welcoming session even though some of the other players were already more experienced with Wanderhome. I'm often a bit reserved at first and they gave me space to explore and be more creative in a low pressure way. I definitely plan to play with Daisy again!
