This campaign is written and advertised strangely. icewind dale rime of the frostmaiden is advertised as a gritty survival horror campaign but falls short on the horror and survival , my goal is to really dial into the Horror element of Rime of the Frostmaiden and the frozen landscape's deadly survival. Expect phobias, madness and survival mechanics to be utilized. 18+ only as Topics may be deemed inappropreite for younger players. i have strict policies on sexually explicit conversation- its a no go zone. 4 rules : treat others at the table how you want to be treated (ooc) leave the table better than you found it (strive to make everyones day better by the end of the session) do not belittle Or correct others methods of enjoying the game dont be a dick! Storytelling
Creativity
Voices
Beholder is an exceptional DM who brings the world of D&D to life. I'm currently playing in his Frost Maiden campaign, and let me tell you, it's an adventure. His storytelling is immersive, enhanced by the unique voices he uses for different characters, adding a layer of excitement and depth. One of the standout features is the set of special gritty rules he incorporates, adding a dangerous edge that keeps you on your toes and makes the setting feel real. Beholder is a well-prepared DM who knows his content inside and out, and it's evident that he pours a lot of effort into each session. Moreover, he ensures that all players get their moment in the spotlight, making everyone feel valued and engaged. All in all, if you're looking for a D&D experience that's challenging, fun, and remarkably engaging, I can't recommend Beholder enough. Each session with him has been great, and I'm always eager to see where the adventure takes us next.
So I've played a campaigns with Beholder as he was a PC and as DM. This guy has great voices and roleplay as well as giving spotlight to fellow players and working on including back story to progress game. He keeps the table challenging but fair while including all player types yet reigning in those Meta/power gamers. If you want a good "balanced" (key word balance, dont be expecting to be the meta strong player here) group this guy will provide a very fair paid experience of Dungeons and Dragons with immersive maps and music. He will talk with you out of session and work on your backstories and how to include them to the game while offering supportive suggestions. YOU ARE NOT PAYING TO BE THE BIG HERO IN THE GROUP. You are paying for a nice experience across the board that's fair for everyone while still challenging the group. Give this guy a shot and you wont be disappointed. 5 stars and my best experience on Roll20 as him as the DM.
Have played in quiet a few of Beholder's campaigns in the past and currently playing a Frost Maiden campaign. He enjoys setting the ambient sounds/music for the mood, allows Creativity moments that players pull out of thin air and rolls with it. He knows the rules pretty well and is willing to help beginners. Also does a good job at giving each character a voice and personality.

This game will explore phobias you assign to your character, be careful if you yourself have the same phobia you assign to your character because it will be used to make you uncomfortable. I would prefer if you dont use a phobia you as the player have , however if you would like to use this game to confront your phobias we can have a private chat on how to approach and set up a system of communication between us. many many many different situations may arise during the coarse of this game and it is very hard to predict some situations. rest assured , if there is a situation you do not feel comfortable with , simply X in chat, speak up , or direct message the DM.
