About the adventure
๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐! Your party is a group of scoundrel's, nobodies, mercenaries... The bottom of the barrel trying to blow the lid off. In this campaign you'll make something of yourself as you overcome fierce challenges, fighting giant monsters, dealing with corrupt governments and criminal organizations, working towards your characters ultimate goal, whether it be uncovering the secrets of the universe, gaining political power, or becoming the most famous of champions. With an emphasis on fast-paced, rule of cool combat, take control of machines of war, using the Infernal war machine mechanics from Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, with muskets, pistols and egg-bombs to unleash hell on your enemies, and rule the desert with your crew. This Action-Heavy campaign will take you and your party across varying environments from the scorching hot desert and badlands to the glaciers of the Poles, and the green forests and jungles of the coasts. This "Open-World" campaign gives players the freedom to achieve their own goals and stories within a complex world, filled with troubles and opportunities. With no shortage of problems to solve and monsters to kill. Become kings of the Apocalypse, or save the world from the chaos of the rival gangs and clans. Or become the strongest monster hunters to grace the hellish desert, the choice is yours adventurer!

About me
Hey all, Scott here! I'm a Game Master from Australia, and Iโve been running TTRPGs for longer than I care to admit. With a background in film and a lifelong love of storytelling, Iโm passionate about crafting cinematic, character-driven adventures full of laughter, tension, and maybe a few tears. I specialize in sandbox-style campaigns where player choice drives the world. Expect freedom, consequence, and stories that grow naturally from your charactersโ actions. Add a few silly voices, some epic music, and heartfelt moments, and youโve got the kind of table I love to run. When I'm not running games on Startplaying or for my own group of friends, I like playing video games, exercising, and doom scrolling on my phone. My favorite video game series is a tie between The Legend of Zelda and God of War (The soundtracks of which you will become very familiar with if you join any of my games). I love listening to music and spending a night with friends. I hope to see you at one of my tables!

Creating your character
Characters are level 2 at the start of the campaign and I will help players create their characters, either on their own in Voice Chat or during session 0.
- Party is currently level 13 and made up of: ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐๐ - A Rogue/Ranger who has learned its better to shoot first and ask questions later ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐ - A Barbarian woman who loves nothing more than seeing a giant mushroom cloud ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐ - A witty, bard who will lie, trick and seduce anyone to get what she wants ๐ถ๐๐๐ - The friendly old wizard who can run faster than a jet plane and is always telling stories that are definitely true
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players are expected to have a functional microphone and are heavily encouraged to read over a document detailing some of the homebrew rules in this campaign and setting. No Software installations required.
What Scotty C brings to the table
I will bring the paid version of Owlbear Rodeo, Inkarnate and Heroforge, for a combined experience with detailed maps, custom player-tokens and an experience that is closest to playing in-person as possible.
