About the adventure

Ever have the thought, 'I can't do character voices'? Did it feel like an Absolute Fact? What if we could flip that on its ear to 'I don't know HOW to do character voices YET'! Struggling with making characters at your table sound different from each other? Want to expand on your range and performance skills to make your games even *more* immersive? I'm happy to help! With over 15 years' experience as a voice actor (including cartoon villains!), over 20 years of experience performing onstage, as well as coaching voice actors, I can help refine your skills to leave your players impressed and coming back for more! Come learn & play with someone the Washington Post called "a master of the comic accent"! Catch a sampling of character voices here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zv7fzJtTM8Y

How to prepare

Make a list of the character voices you feel strongest in, a list of voices you think could be improved, and 'wishlist' some voices you think are out of your range. No wrong answers!

What I provide

I'm bringing *decades* of voice acting experience of someone the Washington Post called, "a master of the comic accent." You'll have access to my coaching, insight, and skill as we explore what your voice can do! I'm also providing: - a lesson plan for the seminar - suggestions, tips, tricks & tools of voice acting - exercises to try on the call and at home - constructive feedback for volunteers

Gameplay details

In the first hour of our seminar, we'll review basic tools of Voice Acting, give some examples, and show you fun ways to stretch what you can do with your vocal cords. We'll talk about character creation, finding their voice, and bringing them to life. In the second hour, we'll do some light coaching w/ volunteers from the class, give constructive feedback, play some fun improv games, and set you up with everything you need to succeed!
