About the adventure
Welcome to Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game! In this Powered-By-The-Apocalypse System created by Magpie Games, explore a world that we all know and love from the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise! You and your team partake in "Episodes" that have a beginning middle and end, that takes part of a longer campaign, aptly called a "Season"! You can play as a Water bender, Airbender, Earth Bender, Fire Bender, or specialize in being an Weapons Expert or Technology expert. This particular game we're going to be doing is going to require a bit of input from everyone, so our first session 0 we will be going over the rules of the game, how basics should work, you will be given PDF's to help guide yourself on building characters and choosing a Path (Class). Additionally we will be choosing what Era of Avatar we want to play in, The Aang Era, The Avatar Kyoshi Era, Avatar Roku Era, The Hundred Years War, or The Korra Era. It sounds like a lot of undertaking but all will be explained in our session 0. Please come with an open mind, as this is certainly different way of playing TTRPG than say D&D. I love to play in Theatre of the Mind, and I will be contributing visuals and music to help set the scene! ***Note this game is all about being team players, there's no "main character" and no villain types, we're the good guys!

Hi! My name is Nick, and I love telling stories! I have an extensive background as a theatre director and screen write, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to professionally tell stories and have fun with others together in the same room or virtually. When you play a game with me, your characters are the priority. I try to build engaging interesting stories that brings your own imagination into the mix. Wether we're playing D&D 5e, Roll for Shoes, or a various amount of other RPG's. I generally gravitate towards Theater of the Mind, but love establishing illustrations and setting the tone with music.

Creating your character
Character creation should happen between Session 0 and our first session. Because this is a newer game for most folks, there may need to be two session 0s, or at least a longer session 1.
Have you ever wanted to feel like you were apart of the amazing television show Avatar the Last Airbender? or The Legend of Korra? Experience a world where you finally get a chance to do just that. You and your party are the protagonists in your very own 'season' inside the Avatar the Last Airbender Universe. Each session is presented like an episode of the show, and as the GM, I simply play the referee determining how successful you are. We will have a session 0 to explain the rules of the game, what to expect, and start conceptualizing our ideas and characters. Then we will have a session 0.5 to discuss our characters as a group, develop a story we want to explore, and do any last minute tweaks and questions before we dive into the official Season. Session 0.0 is free and is slated to be Friday 9/15, session 0.5 will be 1/2 off and will be 9/16. (I will be out of town the following week, so I want to give you two full weeks of planning and theorizing before I come back for 9/30.) What to expect
Preparing for the session
I highly recommend having a working webcam and a mic, it's always more fun when we can interact and see each other. I also recommend having two 6-sided dice, or a place you can virtually roll two d6's, as that is all you need!
