About the adventure

Tiamat's Scheme was defeated in Tyranny of Dragons by noble heroes... or was it? The Cult of the Dragon failed to fully bring about the return of the five-headed Queen of Dragons. However, her brief manifestation into the Material Plane had consequences. Her Five Consorts survived the battle and withdrew after she was cast back into the Nine Hells. Years passed. Then suddenly, chromatic dragons seized land from the Spine of the World to the Anauroch Desert to the border of the High Forest. Even Silverymoon fell to the enemy dragons. It seems that white, black, green, blue, and red dragons have flocked in from all corners of the world to the call of Five Dragon Princes to join the newly founded Chromatic Empire where dragons rule and all other creatures must bow to their rule. That's where you come in! All player characters will be high level heroes (starting at 13th Level) who has answered the call to arms to defeat this new menace to the Sword Coast and the rest of Faerun. Each will be a "retired" hero that is coming out of retirement to take on such a colossal foe. Use a favorite old PC or generate a new one for the campaign. This will be a challenging campaign dealing with upper tier abilities, so players should come prepared.

What I provide

I bring to the board a Fantasy Ground Unity Ultimate License as well as many licensed products for 5E D&D. Further, I have created my own one-shot adventure called the Gauntlet to help teach newcomers how to play. In addition, I have a wealth of knowledge and familiarity of TTRPGs as a DM so that you have a solid and positive experience in gameplay. I am an author that brings to the table a rich world in which to explore and I am a teacher that uses those skills to help players understand how the game is played.

Gameplay details

This campaign involves a balance of planning, fighting, exploring, and socializing though this varies greatly based on player choice. There is a ton of freedom although that can be daunting and choices have consequences. This game contains the themes of war, danger, and evil not appropriate for the faint of heart. I am also very approachable with any concerns that you may have.

How will character creation work

Players will be starting at 13th Level. They can port in a prior PC that finished one of my prior campaigns, they can submit one of their own (pending DM approval), or they may generate a new PC at 13th Level. All of this will happen during a Session Zero where we determine who the epic level heroes will be and how they fit together for the purpose of this campaign. Since this is the aftermath of Tyranny of Dragons this will have many elements of that campaign and fills out the historical canon. Similarly, elements of Storm King's Thunder and Dragonlance have been drawn from as well as Fizban's.
