Vecna Lives! 5e D&D set in the World of Greyhawk (Tuesdays)

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

Save existence from annihilation in this epic, multiverse-spanning adventure! I am a published Wizards of the Coast author, that actually worked on Vecna material in 3rd/4th edition, and I will be modifying this campaign based on what I know about Vecna lore, and expanding it a bit. If you don't know who he is, read below: The notorious lich Vecna is weaving a ritual to eliminate good, obliterate the gods, and subjugate all worlds. To stop Vecna before he remakes the universe, the heroes work with three of the multiverse’s most famous archmages, travel to far-flung locales, and rebuild the legendary Rod of Seven Parts. Vecna: Eve of Ruin™ is a high-stakes DUNGEONS & DRAGONS adventure in which the fate of the multiverse hangs in the balance. The heroes begin in the Forgotten Realms® and travel to Planescape, Spelljammer, Eberron, Ravenloft, Dragonlance, and Greyhaw® as they race to save existence from obliteration. A DUNGEONS & DRAGONS adventure for characters of levels 10–20. Our core value is fun, so we do what we can to ensure everyone has it. Recruiting notes

This campaign will focus on my previous writing with Vecna / Stranger Things. Starting at Level 1!

Jeremy knows his craft and I have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions so far. He does an excellent job in fleshing out the lore of Greyhawk. I really like that when I tried something unorthodox in combat he allowed for creativity.

Jeremy is a fantastic GM! He led me through my first D&D game and I had the best time! He's great at explaining game mechanics, telling a story, and giving suggestions when it's your turn to do an action. I played a one-shot with a lot of experienced players, and Jeremy was able to create a balance that kept the game exciting for the seasoned players but simple enough for me to follow along.

Jeremy is an excellent DM! He is able to breathe fun and excitement into every session no matter if it’s combat or role play heavy, or a balance of both. He has such an expansive D&D background that it is easy for him to help out new players and make sure everyone is having a good time. Highly recommended!

Great GM, allows you to play for the fun of it. Great story teller

Very knowledgeable about the rules and history of the game/modules. Doesnt cause an issue for him to change the overall style of play; RP vs MH. Not afraid to kick problem members.

Additional details

How to prepare

As this is an introductory game, there is no need for previous knowledge of the world or the system. We would appreciate all players having a working camera and microphone, although we have played without them as well. We intend to use Discord for audio, and the game will be run on Roll20- so each player will need a free Roll20 account and a free Discord account. You will need a microphone and computer audio.

What I provide

As this is a virtual game, all gaming materials are being virtually provided. Our system is modular; after this introductory adventure, our players can discuss the adventure and give feedback in secure Discord rooms to prevent spoilers for other players. All players will be able to participate in future events with their same character, which will be saved to our database. I'll bring my best entertaining self, plus some fun effects, and maybe some cats interrupting us.

Gameplay details

You can make your character on D&D Beyond or using the Roll20 Charactermancer (which is embedded). We have a high number of scripts and macros to speed up play, but our game is an introductory game if necessary - we will help you along if needed. This is standard 5th Ed D&D, which we will teach to our new players. We have extensive macros and APIs built into roll20 to help blunt the need for mechanics. Ultimately our system is more about having fun and telling a story than getting bogged down with math. Join our discord if you have further questions: https://discord.gg/pcznc29wNu

How will character creation work

Upon reserving a spot, you will be asked to join our discord and contact DM Jeremy. It is formatted so we can modify and update the sheet with necessary rules updates without affecting your gameplay. All of the character math is done - you simply choose what you want to upgrade and the generator does all the math. For this game, all characters will begin at the current adventure level.
