Game style
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Dungeon Crawl
A “Dungeon Crawl” is a scenario where players navigate a dungeon or labyrinth-like environment for the entirety of the adventure. It emphasizes battling monsters, collecting loot, and avoiding traps to survive to the end!
Combat Heavy
“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Session 0 is used as an introduction to Foundry, our safety tools, expectations of players and the GM, as well as an opportunity for us to get to know each other! ❕ If you are deeply familiar with Foundry and Pathfinder, session 0 should take less than 30 minutes and is FREE. ❕ If you are unfamiliar with Foundry and/or Pathfinder, session 0 averages between 60 and 90 minutes, and is charged at the normal session rate.

How to prepare

It's recommended, but definitely not required. You will NOT need to: • Install anything • Purchase anything (all content is provided)
What I provide
I am providing official Paizo Pathfinder 2E content, as well as the FoundryVTT service (free to you), virtual maps and handouts, an immersive soundtrack, and (hopefully) a great time!
Gameplay details
Session 0 will be reserved for finalizing characters, discussing the goals of the campaign, and to give a chance for everyone to - publicly or privately, at your discretion - define lines and veils. XNO cards are also available in-game and are displayed anonymously. Session 0 is NOT required if you have played with me previously. Content Warning from Paizo: While Abomination Vaults contains typical Pathfinder action and adventure, it also presents themes of suicide, ableism, body horror, and human experimentation. Before you begin, understand that player consent (including that of the Game Master) is vital to a safe and fun play experience for everyone.

How will character creation work
Characters will begin at level 1. You may create your character ahead of time using Pathbuilder (https://pathbuilder2e.com); alternatively, I am happy to act as guide and assist in character creation during Session 0. There are no additional special limitations or house rules for this campaign; all options are available. We will be using the Free Archetype rule for this campaign.
