Save a City, Save Fate! (Abomination Vaults/Stolen Fates, 1-20 APs, LGBTQ+/BIPOC Friendly)

Pathfinder 2e | Campaign

About the adventure

Five hundred years ago, an eldritch cult was destroyed while trying to conquer Absalom - and now they're back to see it burn, unless you can find them beneath the Abomination Vaults, and put an end to their scheme! But is Absalom the real target, or merely a stepping stone on the way to something greater? Fate has chosen you to find out - and to stop a plot to remake all reality to the whims of the wicked! This campaign will begin with the Abomination Vaults, and progress into Stolen Fates from there, for a full 1-20 adventure path. Players of all experience levels are welcome, from those just learning Pathfinder to those who've been along since the beginning. This game will be conducted via Discord and Foundry VTT.

Game style

Theater of the Mind

“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

Jason is a Game Master who truly understands how to make Fabula Ultima an unforgettable play. His ability to craft with players an imaginative setting and seamlessly run with player-driven feedback is wonderful. He creates a perfect balance between compelling narratives, engaging combat, and opportunities for meaningful roleplay, ensuring every session feels dynamic and inclusive. Jason’s use of player ideas which are added into the overarching story makes the game feel uniquely collaborative and personal. His understanding of the Fabula Ultima system ensures smooth gameplay and allows both new and experienced players to focus on enjoying the adventure. Anyone who has the chance to play in his campaigns is in for something truly special.

Jason is fully invested in the you as a player. He adds to the ambience with cool music, and helps you learn the rules as you play. I've never played PF2 before his campaign, and I had a blast.

Jason is great at collaborative storytelling. He included backstory elements in my pregenerated character that really made the world and events matter to them. Jason knows the rules of the systems he runs and is skilled at introducing new players. The game I played in really thrived on the creativity of all the players and the GM working together. Jason is careful to include safety tools and makes sure lines and veils are respected. Recommended. I would happily join another campaign with this GM.

Jason is amazing at taking players ideas, and running with them. Our game had a lot of different moving parts, but he incorporated it all seamlessly! He's a terrific GM, and I love playing games with him!

Additional details

How to prepare

Players will need to have a microphone and way to listen to the game. A full headset is *strongly* recommended. The ability to run Foundry games through The Forge will also be needed, but that system should handle everything else! A stable schedule that allows for attending the game on a weekly basis is also *very* strongly recommended; I'm willing to work with players when I can, but if you don't know what days you'll be available from one week to the next, it can be discouraging to other players when sessions have to be rescheduled or cancelled regularly.

What I provide

I'll bring the adventure, the playspace, and knowledge of the system and setting lore! If players are interested, 3D printed miniatures of your characters will also be available at 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th level, for the cost of shipping.

Gameplay details

Safety guidelines will be discussed at Session 0, and tools made readily available. Rule Zero is that the game is supposed to be fun - and it's hard to have fun when you're not comfortable at the game table. The content warnings above are *very* broad guidelines; additional content may come up based on players, but it is also entirely possible that not all of that will actually happen.

How will character creation work

Primary character creation will happen at the Session 0, with input from the entire group. Feel free to brainstorm ideas before then, but it will help to have players make sure their characters have all their bases covered. Character creation will use the Gradual Ability Boost, Free Archetype, and Ancestry Paragon rules (which will be explained at Session 0 if needed).
