About the adventure
Something has started growing in the Great Swamps of Sgrol... North-west of the Emerald Plains of Deshelia, the denizens of many towns and villages that live in the Great Swamps have begun to grow worried of what seems to be an unnatural phenomenon. It is almost ubiquitous, but this weird dark red blight has begun to cover and suffocate most of the flora, and quite recently it has begun to show on the people themselves, manifesting as red, bloated and painful rashes that almost seem to... wriggle. You're great champions of the realms, and the King himself has called you forth to his court to give you this dangerous quest. Find the cause of what has been tormenting the poor citizens of the swamps, and collect your reward of glory and gold, or fall under the effects of the unforgiving Crimson Blight!

About me
Heya! Name's Giorgio, but you probably read that already! I've been playing D&D 5e for the majority of 4 years, 3 of them in which I mastered a campaign on my own. I'm looking for like minded people to have fun, yet serious and story heavy campaign, in which we can all paint a beautiful story we'll remember for the rest of our lives! I'm not a native English speaker, but I've spent part of my life consuming English/American media, and English has become my second language over time, although I can get sloppy sometimes, it's just my Italian side raring to go buck wild! I am quite young, just 22, so I don't have that much life experience, but I believe that my strong love for reading and fictional worlds has led me to experience many different points of view of many different characters. Of course, I'm not saying I'm a master at storytelling, but I give it my best to try and tell good stories. I've been creating and nurturing a homebrew setting from nothing since my first ever campaign. Each time a player creates a new character, a new chapter is added to the book of this world. In order to flesh out both the character and what they're tied to, I tend to ask a series of questions chosen to help the players clear their idea for the character they plan to play: where they come from, who they are born of, their experiences, and much more... My dream as a DM is creating a good story that will remain with the players for a long time, and I hope you'll help me by creating deep and interesting characters that one day may even interact with characters from previous campaigns!

Character creations will be handled by the players, unless help is needed by less experienced players. This adventure calls for level 5 characters with 1 uncommon magic item of the player's choice!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Microphones will be necessary, webcams appreciated but not necessariy. As previously stated this game welcomes new players, and thus those who need more time or help to understand mechanics will be helped on the moment. No software will be necessary apart from Discord and a Web Browser.
What Giorgio brings to the table
I'll offer access to my Discord server where we will discuss characters, and play the actual One-shot. I can do a wide range of voices, create immersive ambience thanks to Discord bots, and bring good music to set the mood! Handmade maps have been made for the game, and tokens will be made prior to the session.

How Giorgio creates a safe table
This One-shot welcomes all players, with any level of experience, from newbies to curious veterans. It will contain a great amount of roleplay, and a fair share of combat! There will be elements of eldritch horror, and body horror, but if anything is ever too graphic or unsettling, the roleplay will be altered accordingly to player preference.
