How to prepare

Players will need a webcam (dedicated mic is preferred as webcam mics are not ideal for me with my ADHD) You will be provided a PDF of the 5E Player Screen to help you with the rules, so you do NOT need to memorise rules, but will need to print out the PDF if you want to use it in-game. I will screen-share the Player Screen for Arkenforge, so players will not need to download or install any software. Players will need to create a model of their character in Heroforge and send me the share link.

What I provide

I will provide PNG tokens of PC's based on their heroforge models, and character portraits made using those as well. You will receive a PDF copy of The 5E Player Screen, as well as this adventure when it is completed to a publishable format. All maps will be made and shared using Arkenforge digitally.

Gameplay details

The Hunger of Firspeak is a level 3 Thriller-Comedy Adventure designed to take both new and experienced players on a short, exciting journey into the Frozen North! New players will get a taste of combat and roleplay, as well as how to take players through basic encounters with suggested dialogue options for NPCs and resolutions for different options players may take. Experienced players will enjoy a nice easy-to-play 2-3hr adventure to slot into or in between existing campaigns. I don't shy away from gory scenes, but do my best to make them not unnecessarily gratuitous. There is a chance of character death during the game, but there will be ways for players to continue to be involved in the game actively if their character does die. I will send everyone the Consent Checklist prior to Session Zero, and during Session Zero we will set the guidelines for the tone, discuss breaks and where the gore/description limits are for players for combat descriptions. X-cards will be discussed in Session Zero, and I can provide a PDF you can print at home for any players that need them. Players will all be provided with a PDF copy of The 5E Player Screen as well, for optional use during the game to help with remembering the rules.

How will character creation work

Characters will be Level 3 - DnD Beyond is preferred (I will provide a shared campaign) but PDF character sheets provided to me in advance for reference is also fine. Character creation will ideally happen before Session Zero, but we can use S0 to iron out any problems that players might need help with!
