About the adventure

Howdy, I'm Alta! I always love to have players help build onto the settings I provide and bring in whatever they want, but I thought it would be fun to just build a setting/pantheon/cultures/etc from scratch for the party to play in, WITH the players. (: We could either play some worldbuilding games together, or just straight up have a brainstorm session. We decide what kind of game you want (politics heavy? adventure heavy? save the world? personal journies?), what you DON'T want in it, what kind of theological system you want, make your characters, and then... we'll play! For an idea of my usual flavor: my other current games include a magical girl/tokusatsu inspired high fantasy game with a sprinkling of existential dread, a world without it's legendary (and now forgotten) hero that is beginning to fall to a curse, and a circus with super normal and well adjusted people who have never done anything wrong ever in their lives. (: My games are always high fantasy and RP heavy, so if you're looking for gritty realism, scifi, or hack n slash, I'm not your DM! Will be using D&D 5e, but testing new systems to likely replace it after everything WOTC has been doing.

How to prepare

All you NEED is a mic. Cameras are great because I love having visuals and it makes communication easier for me, but they are not required! Rules, character creation, etc will happen Session 0. Character sheets will be managed on DnDBeyond, maps will be on Roll20, and if you want to connect the two for easy rolls then I highly rec the extension Beyond20!

What I provide

I provide plenty of sourcebooks to use via DnDBeyond. And visuals for the setting, drawn myself! You can also commission me to draw your character. (:

Gameplay details

Hard rules for all my games: NO racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, bigotry, etc. That includes fantasy versions (ie: "all orcs are born evil and therefore do x"). NO SA, noncon, torture. (Said things can be allowed, with approval, in PC backstories, and do exist in NPC backstories, but will not be directly mentioned or described) And... we're here to have fun!! <3 Will send a form pregame for lines/veils/etc. Will message to go over what kind of game everyone wants to play ("i hate puzzles" "i love combat" etc), touching base on things we don't want in the game, talking character dynamics, working on character sheets, explaining gameplay if new to D&D. After games, I usually chat (in call or in discord) with everyone and joke around - I always try to balance out the harsh with humor, and I check in with everyone after a rough session. X cards will be whatever you are most comfortable with. <3

How will character creation work

DnDBeyond will be our main sheet source, as I have lots of books and can share in campaigns. Will provide details of equipment, etc in discord. Feel free to bring a character you already made before the game, or make a character built perfectly from this setting. <3
