About the adventure
Do you like Gothic horror and things that go bump in the night? Well this may just be the campaign for you! Designed for skillful play, this campaign will touch on some of the darker aspects of nature and have some mature content. Come join us as you and the party strive to destroy the vampire lord Strahd and jump into Ravenloft on death-defying missions, heartbreak, and horror. This will be a weekly game and tailored to your characters backstories and reasoning for entering such a realm.

Rudi (Jabberwocky) is a great DM. He has been my DM since April of 2022 with multiple campaigns. He is knowledgeable with the rules and the modules he runs, and takes the time to talk to players regarding their characters and integrates the characters and their backstories into the overall narrative of the campaign. He also makes sure that the group can work well together, ensuring the group is a safe place for people. 5/5 stars would recommend as a DM.

He let me be a little cat man who is a ball of shenanigans. The atmosphere is so calm and inviting. I felt like my ideas and desire for fun were respected. The party was great. The DM is great. The word that best incapsulates Rudi is funtastic!

Jabberwocky is a great DM, he was very attentive to me during character creation and was swift to answer my questions and make sure I was added to the group swiftly in game and in a way that made sense with the story. The roleplay was great with a moderate amount of combat that kept the game alive and active. Definitely recommend giving this gm a try.

I left his campaign and he asked me to come back so I did. Then I pointed out a rule of his that didn’t make sense and he questioned my knowledge of 5e. The rule in question was you can you use a leveled reaction spell if you already used a leveled spell. I told him it was established that if you throw a fireball and they counterspell it you can counterspell the counterspell. He then told me I wasn’t a good fit for his campaign and removed me from his campaign instead of discussing it further with me. If you can blindly follow rules he might be a good fit for you but beware you may kick you out if you question any of them.

How to prepare
-Dndbeyond, Beyond20 (Chrome Extension), Roll20, Discord. Please have these down loaded and ready to go. -All links for campaign will be in the discord once you join. -Please feel free to message with any questions. -Bring the best quality sound you can get. Preferably a quiet area also. -Cameras are optional. -Please take time to go over the rule's in the discord channel. -No need to bring dice as we will be rolling everything online and visible for all.

How will character creation work
Player Character CREATION: -ALL characters will be created with everyone present at session 0/1 as so ensure cohesiveness and understanding. Please catch up on any rules and any homebrew'd rulings. All of which will be discussed during session 0 and rules channels. As a preferred play style, ALL players will be required to roll for stats on the discord channel.* All Hit Points are required to be rolled (no taking the average) on all level ups. *If you roll terribly, the DM will work with your stats and opt to change a few, but PLEASE consider role playing with these hinderances as you will be highly rewarded in game to even your stats with the party should you face your rolls head on and RP accordingly. This truly makes the game more dynamic and fun.
