[DND 5e] Tyranny of the Undead Prince - Epic High Fantasy Campaign

[DND 5e] Tyranny of the Undead Prince - Epic High Fantasy Campaign

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

The setting is a homebrew world of mine: Everforge. A high magic world, where heroes and villains go to war to determine the fate of the multiverse. In this campaign, you can be anything you desire. My setting offers everything included in 5th edition, except its pantheon. It is for those who want a narrative role-playing game where puzzles, mysteries, interacting with the world and learning the lore of the universe matters more than just crawling in dungeons and slaying goblins. The themes include mystery, cosmic horror, high fantasy, sword & sorcery.

How to prepare

I expect a webcam and a mic as the roleplaying is really important in my games. I want my players to be ready for a game and feel like their characters. We usually use Discord + Roll20, so a Roll20 account at the ready will be a plus, but not an essential. After Session 0 I expect my players to be aware of their skills, abilities, spells, etc. Of course no one have to memorize every spell's description they have but knowing your character's capabilities really speeds up the combat and add more fun.

What I provide

Players can roll their dice manually or online. I usually use my own dice set. I usually present my players a poster-like edit of their deeds and doings and write poems about them between their adventures. I really look forward to present these poems in a written style and maybe print it as a small book.

Gameplay details

I don't have my own lines and veils documents, we can discuss this in Session 0 with the pre-filled RPG Consent Checklist. Everyone can reach out to me privately or publicly if they wish to exclude a content. My games usually have all kinds of contents depending on the group. My priority is for my players to have fun during a game and feel comfortable. Any breaks, criticism, feedback and other forms of communication are welcome in my table. I don't normally use X, N, & O cards, if the group prefer it on the table, it is better to use them as messages on the platform we use. Session 0 is about expectations. What do the players want? What kind of game are they expecting? A lighthearted adventure, dungeon crawling, mystery and all kinds of requests are welcome. Then we start to talk about characters. My priority is not their class or spells, it is their role, personality and what will they bring to the game.

How will character creation work

I expect my players to come to the table with a story. The story can be very simple or complicated, all have different impacts on their players. A blank page can result in a very colorful drawing or an already complex character could bring many NPCs and inspirations to the table. Other mechanics will be handled in Session 0.
