About the adventure
The City of Kalumnoir has stood for a thousand years. Built upon a mountain, Kalumnoir is divided into seven districts or "circles," which progress up the mountain from the bottom. In recent days, sages and prophets have been predicting a great convergence, an event that may shake the very foundations of reality itself. Will you survive the Shardstorm, and join the Voices of Imiriel to bring order back to the world? Kalumnoir is a shared-world, multi-system RPG setting that allows both DMs and players flexibility, as well as the chance to make their mark on the lore of the world. Here are some of the key themes surrounding the Kalumnoir setting: THE WORLD IS MAGICAL. Specifically, it's a world of high magic. Magic potions can be readily purchased in most settlements. Temples and mages offer spellcasting at a price on a regular basis. (For RPG systems that offer magical items and/or spellcasting at a price, prices can be reduced somewhat at the discretion of the GM). Magic is woven through the fabric of existence. THE WORLD IS OLD. VERY OLD. Think millions of years. Billions, perhaps.Civilizations have risen and fallen and risen again and again. Strange creatures, stranger than anything seen in Kalumnoir today, have roamed the world. Civilizations of advanced technology, akin to the modern world and beyond, have long since turned to dust.Yet the world retains its secrets. Beings and objects long forgotten can be found in the deepest recesses of the world, as well in the deepest recesses if its inhabitants' psyches. THE WORLD IS REMOTE. There are no known portals to other planes or worlds in Kalumnoir. The very edges of the world seem to connect to other realms, but maps and tales are inconsistent. Sailing West off the edge might land you in Krynn one day and Mechanus the next. The Shardstorm has changed things, though. Sages and others work tirelessly to learn their secrets, in the hope of developing consistent means of travel beyond Kalumnoir. HUMANS ARE NOT THE DOMINANT SPECIES. While humans can be found in most corners of the world, they have not yet begun to dominate its surface. By and large, humans have lived as a servant class in underground civilizations until just the past couple of centuries.
How to prepare
Prior to play, you'll want to have both Fantasy Grounds Unity (free DEMO version is fine) and Discord installed on your devices. If you've not used these services before, don't worry! Newbies are more than welcome, and I try to make myself available to anyone ahead of time who needs technical assistance.
What I provide
I bring the story and all of the maps/mechanical necessities. I provide a Fantasy Grounds license that covers my players, even if you don't have an account.
We'll cover Safety Tools in the first few minutes of the game. Fantasy Grounds includes built-in tools for X and O cards that allow players to remain anonymous.

You may either bring a 1st Level character with you, or let me know ahead of time and I'll have a pregen for you to play All official D&D materials are allowed.
