Iron Gods | Technology, Magic, and Barbarians
About the adventure
"Numeria has a long history of mystery and wonder buried under its rugged landscape, for on that one fateful night thousands of years ago, the Rain of Stars scarred the land. The fragmented remnants of a ship from beyond the stars fell from the sky, scattering strange technological ruins and deadly perils across the land. Today, these sites are feared by the barbaric tribes and coveted by the sinister spellcasters of the Technic League. Yet something worse than brutish berserker or super-science wizard has risen to power in these hidden technological halls. The Iron Gods are ready to make their presence known, and if they are not opposed by the region's newest heroes, a scourge unlike any the Inner Sea has seen will arise! From small Numerian towns to strange technological ruins to the region's infamous capital of Starfall—and perhaps beyond—the Iron Gods Adventure Path will take your heroes into places unlike any seen before in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game!" The Numerian town of Torch is would just be another backwater if it weren't for the bright purple flame for which the town is named. The violet flame that erupts from a hill at the center of town is one of the few places hot enough to smith the valuable Skymetals found throughout Numeria. Recently, however, the flame has gone out, and a call has gone out to adventurers willing to enter the mountain to discover what has happened to the source. Five expeditions have entered the mountain, but none have returned. Do you have what it takes to enter the mountain, discover what happened to the other expeditions, and relight the Torch?

About me
Hello! My name is Stanley and I have almost a decade of experience as a game master. Over the years I have ran games for many groups ranging from middle schoolers, high schoolers, college kids and fully grown adults, and have a good idea of what people of these age groups find fun and engaging. Over the years I have run many types of campaigns, (comedic, serious, intrigue, urban, sci-fi, fantasy and more) and have had parties with all sorts of players with varying backgrounds, interests, and playstyles. I have received good feedback about my GMing style and the quality of my games. My primary experience is with Pathfinder 1e, I have a solid mastery of the setting and system (as much as anyone can for such a complex game). I also have experience with Call of Cthulhu, Cubicle 7's Doctor Who, FFG Star Wars, Pendragon, a Song of Ice and Fire, and have access to the rulebooks for many others (listed in the tags below). My games are LGBT+ and POC inclusive, and my table is a safe space for my players and I do my best to ensure that every player feels included. I enjoy running all types of games, whether RP or combat heavy, or a mix of the two I try my best to ensure that even the parts that players are less interested in are still engaging and fun. Finally, my games are definitely beginner friendly, I have had to teach people how to play Pathfinder 1e which can be tough to learn. So I am more than willing to teach newbies the ropes! Happy gaming!

We just finished the final book in the AP we were running and it was absolutely perfect. Stanley incorporated so many things from choices we made throughout the adventure that even though it was an AP it felt like a unique adventure. He was also a great sport about us crushing the final boss in one round.
Stanley got me into pathfinder four years ago. I am very grateful that he did, he taught me how to play and it has been a blast ever since. He has been a patient and reasonable GM, no matter our group's antics. He knows how to run the game so it's fun, and satisfying for whatever direction you want to take your character. He is a very solid GM who can run games for beginners and veterans alike.
Character creation
Creating your character
You should have characters prepared before the start of the first session. We will use the following character creation rules: 20 point buy HP: max first level, then roll all levels after (you can reroll 1's) Core, featured, and uncommon races. Additionally, I have allowed some Starfinder races for this game, but they should be approved beforehand Any class Alignment: any (though evil characters should have a reason to help the party and stick around) 2 traits at first level (one of which should be a campaign trait. If none appeal to you we can discuss this) Starting wealth: class average (or wealth by level if you join later) Party is currently level 7 Current Party Make-Up Vaxus: Vesk Kineticist (kinetic knight) 7 Vasseur: Stellifera Waves Oracle (Stargazer) 7 Cormac: Human Rogue (Numerian Scavenger) 7
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a microphone, a Roll20, and discord account. Read the player's guide available for download at this link, (https://paizo.com/products/btpy98lf) and on Roll20. You can create a character ahead of time, or we can create them during Session 0. All characters should be run by me before we start, however. If you have a concept for your character bring art that can be turned into a token. This can be commissioned art, a Heroforge figure, or even a piece of art you found online that fits your character
What Stanley brings to the table
I will provide access to resources for character creation, art of NPC's, and a library of spells and magic items.

How Stanley creates a safe table
Session 0 is free of charge. Session 0 will discuss character creation, table expectations, the basic setting, and player introductions. X, N & O's are on Roll20. This game uses a version of the Pathfinder 1e ruleset with some of the more frustrating features removed to better streamline play. The system itself is notoriously complex so expect a learning curve if you're unfamiliar. I am more than happy to accept and teach new players.
