The people of Ten-Towns are no strangers to hardship, but the past two years have tested even the hardiest among them. The land is locked in a perpetual winter, a darkness that threatens to extinguish what little light remains. The Everlasting Rime, a cruel curse cast by the Frostmaiden Auril, has plunged the region into an endless night, where hope fades with each passing day. In this chilling wilderness, you will be forced to confront the unforgiving elements, dangerous beasts, and the creeping despair of a land losing its will to fight. As you navigate the treacherous ice, you must decide whether to stand as a beacon of hope for the people of Ten-Towns or to seize what you can in the chaos, leaving the weak to fend for themselves. The choices you make will determine the fate of Icewind Dale. "Rime of the Frostmaiden" begins with your characters at Level 1, brought together by a shared mission but soon branching out into a world filled with personal quests and intertwined fates. Expect a campaign that will take your characters from Level 1 to Level 12, over approximately a year, depending on player engagement. In terms of gameplay, you can look forward to intense, atmospheric encounters, both in combat and roleplay. The harsh environment of Icewind Dale will challenge you, but so too will the moral decisions you must make. Whether it's defending the isolated communities of Ten-Towns or striking out on your own path, every choice will have consequences. The game will be played on Roll20, with Discord for voice communication. You can expect custom maps, immersive soundscapes through Syrinscape, and a game environment that prioritizes fun, fairness, and story-driven play. Creating your character
Characters will begin at level 1, with intial discussions on character creation happening in Session 0. Players then will create the characters in their own time, but can contact me if they need support.
The game will take place weekly at the same day/time, played on Roll20. Game Length: 3 - 4 hours. Sign ups within a certain threshold of the start time will be brought into the session the following week due to onboarding process. Please check the listing to see if there is a warning. As a rule of thumb, if you join a game within 12 hours of the start time, this will apply.

Preparing for the session
- A mic to talk is necessary, and a webcam is recommended, but not required. - Level 1 Character Sheet must be prepared beforehand (but I can help if contacted before game) - (Optional) Downlaod a piece of free software called 'Syrinscape Online Player' to recieve music and sounds (discussed in Session 0).

How Euan Buddie creates a safe table
There is some light horror elements and some themes of survival. The game will be using Lines and Veils to ensure a comfortable experience for all players. This is done via a joined sheet which everyone is able to see, but it is completely anonymous. Session 0 will discuss; Code of Confuct, Game Mechanics, Character Creation, Campaign Context, and give oppertunity for questions. 3 Hour long session, 15 minute break midway. Debreif at the end (included within time).
