About the adventure
Some notes about the content of this campaign: - This is a safe space for LGBT+, trauma survivors, neurodivergent folks, victims of bullying, and others. - We do our best to be sensitive to triggers and respect each other's boundries. - As part of this - permanent, irreversibile, character death is not a risk. Character death may happen, but there will always be the chance for a Resurrection. - Content warnings include adult language, drug and alcohol use, and sexual situations involving consenting adults. - This campaign requires a little extra time for onboarding. New players will need to join at least 24 hours before game time. Time travel, mecha battles, a fraternity full of Bro-holders: are we sure this is the Dungeon of the Mad Mage? We are exploring a whimsical, topsy-turvey rendition of Undermountain. Halaster Blackcloak is still a scheming madman, but he's also a supportive teacher, a caring partner, and possibly the only hope to save the world from having all of it's magic eaten by a living, aberrant, planet. This campaign uses the module Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage. But we have turned it into our own adventure with homebrew stories built around the characters. Creating your character
You may create a character ahead of time, but please be prepared to make changes at your first session. Based on Session Zero discussion, for this game we would prefer no evil characters. Character Sheets will be hosted on DND Beyond. You can use the Roll20 sheet if you like. But if you do, you will not have access to my compendium, which is hosted on DnD Beyond. You may use any official, published D&D material. No Unearthed Arcana or homebrew without prior approval. Use either Point Buy or Standard Array for abilities. Average Hit points. Start with standard starting equipment. If you are joining at a high level check Discord or message the DM about additional gear. If you don't know what any of that means, it's completely okay. We'll be happy to help you get started.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Prefer a video demo? Everything you need to get set up can be found here: https://youtu.be/_6SyrnIG9HQ Your #1 priority is to have a working microphone, headset, and a stable internet connection. If you have those, I am always happy to help you through everything else. You will need access to Discord for voice chat. This can be on your computer or mobile device. Video chat is optional. You will need free accounts on dndbeyond.com and roll20.net. You can choose or build your character on DnD Beyond ahead of time if you like. If possible, you should also install the browser extension, "Beyond20" which will make your life much easier by letting you use DnD Beyond, Roll20, and Discord together. If you need help getting any of these set up, please contact me and I will be glad to help you out.

How ColoradoDM Brian P creates a safe table
This campaign leans more into roleplay and storytelling than a typical dungeon delve. The mix of combat and roleplay can vary between sessions. Content may include violence, swearing, and mild sexual references and innuendos. Content will generally be PG-13 level, but the language in particular may approach Rated-R territory. I have a potty mouth. We use Roll20's built in safety deck with red(STOP), yellow (Caution) and Green (GO/approve). Real life bigotry of any kind (racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.) will not be tolerated.
