How to prepare

You will need a mic; webcams are optional. Everyone must read through the safety tool documentation and add their Lines and Veils before play can begin. Physical dice are fun and totally optional! Please "come to this game with an adventure you want to go on, a dungeon you want to crawl, or a wilderness you want to explore." Just a tidbit of a dream.

I will be doodling our stories, Characters, and Players throughout our campaign. I can't help it! I'm an artsy guy.

Gameplay details

This is a fully remote campaign, played through a custom Discord server. We will also be employing Movie Controls -- PAUSE, REWIND, and FAST FORWARD -- and the Buddy System. Anyone can use a Movie Control at any time by calling it out. Call PAUSE when you're overwhelmed, need a breather, need to "buffer," or for any other reason. Call REWIND if you want to undo something that happened earlier in the game. We will discuss how to change the story, and then play out a new version of the scene. Call FAST FORWARD if you're okay with something occurring in the story, but you don't want to play it out. We'll then "fade to black." The Buddy System means that if you're not comfortable calling for a safety tool, you're free to privately message any other member of the group. If you receive such a message, assume the sender wants to remain anonymous and say "I have a buddy system call for [safety tool]."

How will character creation work

We will be having a Session 0 for Character (and Player) creation, schedule for the hour prior to our Session 1. You will receive an invite to the Rookery Games server, where we will keep sourcebook materials, character sheets, safety tool documentation, etc. We will also use this server for roleplay.
