About the adventure

The night is young, and the heroes are dead. A speedrun into Ravenloft Castle starring the supporting cast of Curse of Strahd. You have four hours to power up and defeat D&Ds most notorious vampire, or die trying. High Production Value Video battle maps, high quality tokens, animations, and ambience bring an immersive, memorable Castle Ravenloft to life in a cloud hosted Foundry instance. Fan Favorite Characters Step into the boots of any one of Strahd's fated enemies from the original adventure, with all their special abilities and equipment. Each one includes detailed biography, role play suggestions and interesting twists provided by Lunch Break Heroes' "Lights in the Darkness" supplement. Variable Difficulty Stat blocks are right out of the book, meaning the party can range from a ten year old girl with Commoner stats, to one of the most powerful Mages the multiverse has ever known, and a wide variety of Barovian born and bred monsters! The party makeup and player choices make the game. Infinitely Replayable Whether or not you've been to Ravenloft Castle before either as a player or DM, every run is guaranteed to be different. Madam Eva's clues lead to randomized locations for the treasures needed to take down Strahd, and the final battle itself. How to prepare

A Discord Event invite will be used to bring the players together. Make sure you have Discord installed and ready to go. You will have time prior to the session to review and select your characters.

What I provide

The DM ---------------- I've been running D&D games for my friends and family for a few years, then expanded to SPG with my first campaign "Sword Coast Ramblers" now in full swing. With Ravenloft Matinee I mean to run a replayable one shot and meet as many players and other DMs as I can! We tend to have a lot of fun and strike a balance between combat and roleplay. The Game ---------------- I run a cloud hosted Foundry server with a fully realized set of animated battlemaps for Castle Ravenloft. A mid to high end PC with a high speed internet connection should be able to render the game and participate without trouble. Everything you need to play is included on the server. Voice chat will occur in Discord so that game audio can be managed seperately (ie through PC speakers vs a headset)

Gameplay details

This is a fun one-shot adventure with players taking over the roles of NPCs from the original book. Win or lose, the goal is to enjoy exploring the castle and settling into interesting characters.

How will character creation work

There is a cast of 20 NPCs in the Curse of Strahd book who normally would be recruited to join an adventuring party. For this game however, the party is gone and the players are taking over to play as a party selected from these incredibly memorable characters.
