👻 Mystery | 👻 Suspense | 👻 Episodic Hey Monster Hunter! Can you work with your gang of unlikely heroes to uncover the terrifying truth lurking in this historic English city? Don't miss this chance to join a ragtag group skirting the thin line between the normal and the paranormal! Monster of the Week is inspired by episodic TV shows where every week a team of hunters investigate and face down a terrifying creature - think Supernatural, X-Files or Buffy. I'm looking for players interested in the horror/mystery vibe of those series - there will be heavy role-play and creative thinking. Plenty of horror, acts of death-defying courage, and plenty of tropey quips. It's great for beginners - a simple playbook-style game system that encourages character- and team-building. You won't need anything to play other than a webcam, a couple of d6 dice and a pencil. We'll start with the unaired plot episode: The Spectral Bookshop. Welcome to Cambridge, UK, 1996. As a team of intrepid reporters, you'll plunge into a web of mystery and cosmic horror that threatens to consume one of England's oldest bookshops. Have you got what it takes become the heroes that this city so desperately needs?

How to prepare

A basic set-up is fine - the important thing is that we're able to understand each other, webcams optional but we'll usually introduce ourselves on camera at the session start. It's helpful but not essential to have a print-out of your character's playbook. I'll supply that and everything else you need.

What I provide

I will provide a suspenseful monster adventure every single week and I'll do my best to make a fascinating, bizarre world filled with terror.

Gameplay details

A full safety briefing will be available in my discord and we will discuss in the first session. I will ask you for you Lines and Veils before the game and I'll raise them anonymously in the first session. Feel free to message me privately if you need to modify them or have any other concerns. I am committed to making sure everyone feels comfortable at the table.

How will character creation work

We'll build characters before the session start time - I'll send you a briefing and you'll choose a character playbook which guides you through the creation process.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
