About the adventure

🏴‍☠️ Pirates | 💰 Plunder | ⚔️ High seas swashbuckling Ahoy! I'm really pleased to be starting a new campaign of maritime marauding and mayhem. Don't miss your chance to be part of the crew! This campaign will be based on the official D&D sourcebook - Ghosts of Saltmarsh - and it's great. Lots of loot early on, fun choices for your characters to make. Haunted houses! Adventure on the high seas! The campaign really suits my style - light-hearted antics with high stakes and an overarching story to tie everything together and test your characters. Maybe that suits you too? Our story will start in Saltmarsh, a seemingly tranquil fishing village, that teeters on the edge of chaos. Beneath its quaint facade lurks a world of danger and intrigue: 🏴‍☠️ smugglers ply their shadowy trade in hidden coves 🏴‍☠️ monsters rise from the depths 🏴‍☠️ the drowned refuse to stay drowned And if that wasn't enough... 🏴‍☠️ a sinister cult spreads its tendrils throughout the region Book your spot now and prepare to set sail for glory and, perhaps, infamy!

What I provide

✔ I hope to make a safe and inclusive game that's fun. ✔ I'll prepare well before each session - including combat and exploration maps. ✔ Enthusiasm and excitement and a willingness to follow the adventure wherever it takes us

Gameplay details

I will brief everyone of the safety tools we use before the campaign and before every session, I post a list of lines and veils that are active that session. We'll use D&D Beyond for character sheets, Discord for voice chat and Owlbear Rodeo for maps and combat. I set up campaign specific channels in discord so that you can discuss and roleplay in Discord between the fortnightly sessions. Video's completely optional. After every session, we'll perform a quick review and suggest any changes for the next time to ensure we all have a great experience and can steer how I run the campaign. We'll have a 10-15 minute break somewhere in the middle but it's a-ok if anyone needs to step away briefly for any reason.

How will character creation work

So that we have as much game time as possible, I'd like players to set up characters on D&D Beyond before the first session. I can help with character ideas or provide pre-generated characters if needed. Please use point buy for your abilities - it saves on awkward conversations about cheating! If you're new to D&D, I would advise you to stick to options in the Player's Handbook, especially at level 1. If you have a burning desire to play something from another rulebook, we can talk about that and I'll do my best to accommodate. I will create a campaign on D&D Beyond and I'll send a link so that you can add your characters to it. I have some campaign specific backgrounds that I can share with you.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
