Cage of Horror : the Secrets of Barrow, a Tale of Eldritch Terror for players new to GURPS

About the adventure

Barrow is a teeming metropolis of nearly nine million, nestled in southern Massachusetts like a tick. To those outside, it is nothing. Never heard of, never mentioned. Unless you know where you are going, or are very unlucky, or are chosen, you can drive right past Barrow on the Interstate and never notice it. To most of the world, the only things of interest in that region are the fallen whaling town of New Bedford and Lizzie Borden’s home town of Fall River…both of which are just suburbs of the bloated thing called Barrow. Dark secrets lurk in the streets and alleys, and the sewers below. You've seen one of the faces of evil, lurking just beneath the surface. The world is not what you thought it was. What will you do about it? Take the part of a relatively normal person in over their head, and learn to play GURPS!

You really don't need anything but a webcam and a mic, I'll provide everything else.

What I provide

I bring all the books and such needed, I have dice rollers on my discord, I have a character generator I can use to help, and access to roll20 if it is needed. I do accents and voices, and engage in deep worldbuilding. Stories are often character driven, with the main focus on the PCs,

Gameplay details

We'll discuss dos and don'ts for everyone in session 0 as well as going over the checklist, which I'll provide. We'll also build characters together so we can ensure a good mesh.

Session 0

How will character creation work

We'll make characters together, either during session 0 or on the Discord beforehand. The PC's will be basically normal people in over their heads, with 100 points and up to 50 points in disadvantages

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
